Plain English, no fine print games. Here is how The Honest Capsule makes money and why it does not change what we tell you.
The short version
The Honest Capsule earns commissions from some of the links on this site. When you click a "See Today's Price" button and then buy SlimTide on the manufacturer's official website, we may receive a small commission. You pay exactly the same price either way. That commission is what pays for buying the products we test and keeping this site running.
What this does and does not affect
It does not affect our ratings, our list of cons, or whether we recommend a product. We research and write each review, including our criticisms, before any affiliate link is added. A brand cannot pay us for a higher score, a softer con, or a better placement, and none has tried to. If we think a product is mediocre, we say so, links or not. Our SlimTide editorial score of 4.0 out of 5, with a low 3.3 for label transparency, is an example: we link to the product and still flag its weaknesses.
How we comply with the FTC
United States Federal Trade Commission guidance (16 CFR Part 255) requires that any material connection between a reviewer and a seller be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. We aim to meet that standard by labeling commission links, marking them with the appropriate sponsored and nofollow attributes, showing a disclosure banner near the top of every page that carries such links, and maintaining this dedicated page. Our commission relationship is the only material connection we have with SlimTide's manufacturer.
We are independent
To be unambiguous: The Honest Capsule is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the manufacturer of SlimTide. We are an independent third-party publication. We do not manufacture or sell SlimTide. Any reference to the "official website" means the manufacturer's own store, which we link to as an affiliate. SlimTide is a trademark of its respective owner.
